Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) is a cold-water fish of the Salmonidae family, native to Alpine lakes and Arctic coastal waters. Not native to Croatia.
Habitat
Freshwater habitats including rivers, lakes, and streams.
Diet
Freshwater populations feed on planktonic crustaceans, amphipods, mollusks, insects and fish. Anadromous individuals feed little in fresh water and never feed during migration.
