About Ribarica, sources and content
An independent educational project for freshwater fishing in Croatia.
Ribarica is a one-person project connecting a fish encyclopedia, fishing-exam practice, a permit guide and tools for planning fishing trips. Its purpose is to support learning and responsible care for fish and waterways. It is not an official permit issuer or authority on interpreting regulations.
How to check information
Fish profiles and articles list sources alongside their content. A source may concern species biology, a particular study or a fishing technique; it does not automatically substantiate every statement on the page. For regulations, check the official document and the conditions set by the fishing-rights holder for that water.
An article's publication date records when it was published, and its modified date records a content update. Neither certifies that every related regulation has been checked again. Where no verification date is shown, do not assume the information was verified today.
Closed seasons, minimum sizes and permits
The references support learning and initial checks. Local rules, special regimes and later regulatory changes may alter fishing conditions. Where information is missing, the encyclopedia asks readers to check local rules; missing information does not mean fishing is permitted.
What does the fishing forecast represent?
The forecast compares conditions using available data and a model. A score from 0 to 100 is neither a guarantee of a catch nor a percentage probability of catching fish. Consult the update time, sources, factors and confidence information on the forecast page. A station measurement does not describe every backwater or bank location.
Check actual conditions, access and local requirements before leaving. Missing or stale data should not be interpreted as a current forecast. Open the forecast and factor explanations.
AI Angler and answer sources
AI Angler helps find information on Ribarica. It can make mistakes or connect information incorrectly. Open the cited page and check the source, especially for fishing rules. An assistant answer is not an official confirmation of a rule.
Report incorrect or outdated information
Send the page link, the disputed statement and a source for the correction, if available, through the contact form. For local rules, include the water, fishing-rights holder and document date so the report can be checked.
