Description
Vimba bream (Vimba vimba) is a freshwater fish living in Europe and Western Asia; mostly in brackish waters but migrates upstream for spawning.
Habitat
Moves in small shoals along the coast, then migrates in May or June into fast tributaries with stony or gravel beds and little vegetation.
Diet
It feeds on invertebrates it collects from the bottom and the roe of other fish.
